At the beginning of the new year 2024, everything is recovering after Covid. On January 5th, the sky was clear, and auspicious clouds were shining. At 11 a.m., COTG and the OPPO Indonesia factory officially signed the settlement contract. This marks COTG’s first station overseas, and the construction of COTG’s overseas factory is a crucial step of localization. This move signifies a significant and vital advancement for the future strategic development of COTG!
Before signing the contract, OPPO factory explained and expressed the factory’s operating conditions、 supporting facilities、and related services for cooperation once again. COTG also briefly communicated and discussed its future planning and development in Indonesia with OPPO factory. Both sides maintained an attitude of mutual benefit and long-term cooperation. Both parties reached a high degree of the agreement on signing this cooperation.
The OPPO Indonesia factory was completed bulit in June 2022, covering an area of 100,000 square meters with a construction area of 140,000 square meters. It comprises three factories and one public building. The infrastructure includes basketball courts, football fields, volleyball courts, canteens, gyms, local employee prayer room, etc. The Indonesian OPPO factory is OPPO’s second-largest overseas smart manufacturing center. It has also been awarded by the Indonesian government's honorary title of "Lighthouse Factory" and has played a significant role in promoting the development of local Indonesian society.
We believe that COTG’s factory investment in Indonesia will not only reduce the production and logistics costs but also improve market response speed, enhance competitiveness, and provide better products and services to local customers. Additionally, it will accelerate COTG's local operations and its journey of overseas. Furthermore, it will drive employment in the surrounding areas, stimulate mass consumption, and foster the growth of border tertiary industries and other sectors, it will also bring beneficial and improvement to the lives of the Indonesian people and foster the development of Indonesian society, as the impact of OPPO factory.
